Default Hiding Text/Content on Static Slide with layered animations

Hi all,

First off, appreciate your help and advices.

I tried a couple of searches but was not able to find anything useful as results were showing up for how to animate, how to hide text with animations etc.

I'll try my best to articulate what I'm doing and what I'm expecting the outcome to be.
  • On a slide, I have text boxes that are layered on top of each other.
  • Each textbox is animated to fade in and out sequentially in presentation mode
  • eg the first text box appears, and then disapears, then the next text box appears in it's place, then disappears, and then the next text box appears and so on and so forth until the last text box appears and stays.

This is great for presentation mode, however, in the case of printed handouts, exported to PDF, or static presentations, this is problematic. This particular slide, when static looks like I have multiple textboxes on top of each other, so you see a jumble of text (similar to when your typewriter jams and you end up typing over the same letter over and over again.

What I want to achieve is that, on the static slide, only display 1 textbox, of my choosing. and have none of the other text boxes visible. The other text boxes should only be visible in presentation mode.

Ok, hopefully that's a helpful explanation.

Thanks again, and appreciate any advice you can help with.

Regards
e

Text Boxes by default have no fill so they are transparent. Give the top box a solid fill that matches the slide background and see if that looks better.
