Default Powerpoint video problem

I have made a powerpoint presentation of mine into a video, the animations are as I wanted but there is a 3 second gap between each slide that I want to get rid of. I have the animations set for 0.5 seconds and each slide is set for 10 seconds however when the video is made it ends up being 3 seconds of black and then the slide will be up for the rest of the time.

I am on Windows 8 and am using Office 2010. I can't figure out what would be causing the delay between slides, there is no transition time set nor is there a delay set for the animation etc. Any ideas?
