How many animations can I add to one slide?
Is there a limit? Basically, I'm building a corporate presentation, and they want about 100 shapes to all appear one after another until it fills up the screen (yes I realize this would be more efficient in AfterEffects).
1st of all, before I do that work, I want to know if there's a limit on animations. Secondly, will it totally bog down my presentation and cause it to crash if I attempt this? |

There's no real limit on animations except your PC's processing power. Trying is the best method. I have seen presentations from Korea with hundreds of animations on a slide to simulate video.

John, quick follow-up. Is there a practical limit, though? Meaning, I know that it's effectively limited by memory but wondering if there is a point where people should try to not go beyond? 10 animations? 1000 animations?

OMG, how much time will you spend on that one slide? Animations take a lot of time.

Thank you for all of your responses!
It turned out that we were able to select all and apply an animation to all of them that made them appear one after another very quickly. We didn't run into any problems. |
