Animination: Excel Chart Bar
Using PPt 2007, I seldom use animation in Powerpoint.
I would like to know how do I grey out some portions of a bar chart. Attached a sample. 1) How do I grey out the first 3 sets of bars on the left? 2) How do I grey out the first 3 bars in each set? 1) and 2) are separate animations that are done on separate charts. Thank you |

There's no chart animation to Grey Out bars
You can change the transparency but if you are not familiar with chart animation it's going to be a struggle. Here's a demo to show you roughly what to do. |

Apply the animation to the chart
In the animation pane double click the entry for the chart In the dialog that appears choose Chart animation Change "As one object" to "By Element In Catagory" This will allow you to see all the individual animations. The hard bit in your case - delete the ones you don't need. |
