A question regarding moveable objects in a Power Point template
Hello MSOfficeForums!
I've a question regarding the possibility to create a master slide with, let's say, 10 icons in png and then letting the end user be able to resize them, move them and so on. Right now when I am putting in icons in my master slide, clicking the "New slide" button, choose the master I just created and then trying to move the icons - they won't! Any clues? |

When you insert a picture into the slide master it automatically is inserted into the Background of the slide and therefore you cannot click on it and resize or move it.
The easier way to do this would probably just to put the images into a slide using the normal method (not in the slide master) and then just save the PPTX file as a template and users can open the template and the images will be there ready for them to move or resize as needed. |

It is possible to get what you need in a template but it is messy and not perfect.
Create a new layout and add a TEXT placeholder. Select all the default text and set bullets to NONE and then delete all the text and replace it with one space. Right click > Format shape and choose picture fill. This should appear on any slide with this layout and be resizable. You could add 9 more it is not possible to stop users adding text though. We have written quite a few AddIns for large companies that can add a a slide with the needed images on click of one button in the ribbon which is the best solution but probably not applicable on a small scale! |
