Have a PPT with a music and videos on different slides that I start with a mouse click after advancing to the slide using custom action button or the sound icon.
What I'd like to do is somehow start the music/vidoes after the slide is showing but with the pointer. Now when I forward(click) with the pointer it goes to next slide. The only way I've somewhat figured it out is to create a blank 'holding' slide then click to slide and auto start music. any help/suggestions please, |

Maybe this trick can help you with that. On the slide you advance to place a custom object for example a white square couple of pixels wide. Add custom animation (appear) because it is white you won't see it but the animation will work. Now add a trigger to that animation that starts the music file. Worth a try don't you think?

You need to explain EXACTLY what you need but it sounds like you just need to remove the trigger animation for the video and add Play (On click).
There's no way to trigger an animation for a video from a white shape animating that I can think of. |

Within a PPT I have 3 slides that has the words to a song, one page per verse, with the music to accompany. What I want to do is not start the music as soon as the first slide appears. Since I'm not standing at the computer, I'd like to use the Logitech wireless presenter/pointer to start the music. I also have a couple of slides that have videos on them and I'd like to advance to the slide w/o the video starting, again starting it with the presenter/point. Can this be done? As a work-around I have a placeholder slide that looks just like the slide with the music and/or video inserted. When I advance to the 'second' slide the music starts. |

John, got it by taking the Trigger's' out and setting the video to start on click and the music to start with previous.
THANKS (guess I need to study up on "triggers") |
