Why do you want to use the Viewer when you have the full version of PowerPoint?

Assuming you do need to. Try right clicking on a PPTX file and choose "Open With". There may be an option to use the viewer.

Default How do I invoke Powerpoint Viewer

You are right John--I don't need the "Viewer", but what did I know? I just wanted to be able to display the presentation/show to "whoever", which I can do by selecting "slide show".

Thanks a bunch--you did help me. Uncle Dewey
