Cool PowerPoint and wmv files.

I am using PowerPoint 2003, but can't install movie clips saved from Windows Live Movie Maker (a recent free download). The import is just a black frame.

These movie clips are wmv files, which play normally in Real Player or Windows Media Player.

Would PowePoint 2010 accept wmv files?

My PowerPoint 2010 has .wmv listed as an acceptable video file type.

Both 2003 and 2010 support wmv. My guess is there is something amiss with the wmv from Movie Maker. Have you tried inserting one of the sample wmv's from MSFT?

Default wmv files

Thank you for you responses.

I have since found out that Microsoft Office 2003 PowerPoint does not accept wmv files. However, Microsoft Office 2007 was a big step up, and will recognise these files.
