PP Viewer has no audio from PP 2013 file
I have narrated audio on each of 8 slides using 2013 PP. When emailed to people with (a) 2007 PP running Windows XP or (b) recently downloaded PP Viewer, neither group can hear the audio. I believe it is because I am creating files with .m4p as the extension (true?) and they are unable to read those files. The ultimate goal is to put this PP show on a website that everyone could tap into. Is there an easier way without using YouTube? |

Windows 8 can play mp4 natively. AFAIK other OS's need quicktime installed (and even then it may not work) MP3 might work better.

Thanks. How would I record using something other than the file type which automatically utilized with PP 2013? I'm not even sure how to extract the audio portion of the file our separately from the PP slides.

I missed that you were recording narration (not inserting)
You would need to record in an external program like Audacity (free). Probably easier to get the users to install Qucktime player (also free) |
