Default missing slides

I have several times experienced the following - most recently today in the middle of a live webinar. After a certain number of slides (in the example today 16 out of 20), I can no longer bring up any of the following slides although they are available and should clearly be part of the presentation.

How is this possible? Is there any technical way that this can be programmed? (i.e. some kind of limit on the number of slides)? I may have done something without being aware. It is most annoying and has happened several times. I always take a hard copy with me just in case it happens again, but it is very unprofessional when I have to "wing it".

Yes there is several ways this can be done.

1) You can set a slide to Hidden and it will not display during slide show mode but is still visible in your presentation. To check this have a look at the slides which did not display, where the slide is numbered in the Slides pane does the slide number have a strike through in it? If yes then it has been set as Hidden. To undo just right mouse click on the slide and click Hide Slide to undo this setting.

2) You can setup custom slide shows which only display certain slides during slide show mode. Go to the Slide Show tab and click the Set Up Slide Show button. Ensure in the Show slides section that the option is set to All so that all slides are displayed.

Let me know how you go.

There are a couple of other ways this can occur too.

Check the last slide that appears. In the Transitions Tab is advance slide on mouse click unchecked. This will stop any advance

All of the slides after 16 could be set to advance auto zero seconds - this would take you direct to the end so probably not what you are seeing.

Thetraininglady gave me the clue. It was in the slide show setup, where show only slides 1-16 was checked (I have no idea how that happened - must have been ages ago as I seldom use this facility) instead of "all".

Many thanks!
