Post Having content which opens only when we click in slideshow

Hi,

I need to make a slideshow where some information maybe displayed only if I click some icon or a bullet. I dont want to open a pdf document or an external file. I just want to do some list of animations if I click a pre-defined icon. Also I want to know how to jump to a particular slide by selecting an option during slideshow without using right click.

To have information display only if you click an icon you could use the animation settings to animate the text to appear when you click a button or icon on the screen.

To jump to a particular slide you can use the hyperlink feature, put a clipart image or something small and hyperlink that to the slide you want to go to by selecting the image, click Insert tab and choose Hyperlink then select the Place in this document option on the left. Choose the slide you want to link to and click OK. Test it in slide show mode.

To add a flash control follow the steps below which are from the following article.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/291875

  1. In PowerPoint, display in normal view the slide on which you want to play the animation.
  2. Click File, and then click Options.
  3. Click Customize Ribbon, and then check the check box labeled Developer in the right list, and then click OK.
  4. On the Developer tab, click the More Controls button in the Controls group.
  5. In the list of controls, click Shockwave Flash Object, click OK, and then drag on the slide to draw the control.
  6. Resize the control by dragging the sizing handles.
  7. Right-click the Shockwave Flash Object, and then click Properties.
  8. On the Alphabetic tab, click the Movie property.
  9. In the value column (the blank cell next to Movie), type the full drive path, including the file name (for example, C\:MyFile.swf) or uniform resource locator (URL) to the Flash file that you want to play.
Let me know if there is anything else you need.
