Default Help with displaying bullet points in variable order

Hi

New user here

I am preparing a presentation on my top 10 tips on credit control - riveting I know!

My aim is to ask the participants to tell me what should be on the list. If they then call out one of them - say number 5, Raise invoices promptly and accurately - I want to be able to display this bullet point (whilst hiding the ones not yet discussed) and then talk about it for a minute or so and then ask for suggestions for the next one.

Eventually all 10 will be revealed and discussed but the order will be random

Is this possible to do?

Many thanks in advance

Geoff

Create a separate text frame for each of your numbers (1-10), and another for each of your tips.

Under the animation for the each tip text frame, select an entrance animation, then under the 'Effects options', for 'Timing' set the trigger for each tip text frame to it's corresponding number text frame.

Good solution but you don't have to have separate text boes. Just animate a normal placeholde with 10 lines 10 times (add animation). Then delset all but one line from each and add triggers.

The advantage of this is that editing the text is easy and layout problems are avoided.

I wasn't able to get this to work like that- if I changed the trigger for one line in a single text box, it changed it for all of the lines in that box. Plus, the line isn't visible to click as a trigger if you're using the same line for the tip and the #.

You could keep all of the tips in a single textbox, but unless I'm missing something, I believe you need the tips and numbers separated with separate text boxes for each number (to allow the numbers to be visible and clickable).

Mark
You have to add the animation say "fade" to the text placeholder 10 times and then delete all but one line from each. It sounds crazy but it doesn't take long and it is then easier to modify the text keeping the spacing etc.
