Dear all,
I have a question regarding embedded fonts. One of my colleagues used the Metapro font he downloaded from the Microsoft site. After he finished the presentation, he forwarded the presentation to me (we both have Office 2013). Although he did not saved the document by slecting the ´embed fonts´ option (under tools -->´Preserve fidelity when sharing this presentation´), I could open and edit the Powerpoint presentation using the Metapro font (although I do not have this font normally!). Reading some websites about embedded fonts, I clearly read that (normally) the document does open with a different font if I did not download that specific font before or the author didn´t select the ´Preserve fidelity when sharing this presentation´option. Can someone please advice me here? Can all other colleagues also see and edit the file using the Metapro font like me without selecting any preserve fidelity option? And if I select this ´Preserve fidelity when sharing this presentation´ option, does that guarantee that all colleagues can see and edit the document with the Metapro font although they normally do not have that font saved? Many thanks and best regards, Laurens |
