![]() Hi, I have just opened a rather large PowerPoint presentation and noticed that ALL of my notes have disappeared. I have tried re-opening the presentation and on another computer too but the notes seem to have completely gone. Is there anything I can do to get them back? Unfortunately I don't have any backups. I am using office 2013. I would post the presentation document but it contains sensitive company data. Thanks. |

if you have worked on the file for a while there may be previous versions. Might be worth right clicking the file and 'Restore Previous Versions". It will tell you if there aren't any.
It's not easy to kill all of the notes are you sure the text has not been set to white (They would still show in the pane below the slide but maybe not print.) |

Thank you for your reply. I don't see the "Restore Previous Versions" option when right clicking on the presentation file. I am running Windows 8.1. Also for some reason the font color setting in the notes box doesn't seem to make any difference. I can however type new notes and they appear in a light grey color.

Update - I have managed to recover a copy of my presentation from a USB flash drive that it was on. It is missing the last few slides I made but I have quickly re-added them. At least I have the lost notes now! Just hoping this problem doesn't re-surface. I will also be making cloud backups from now on.
