Is anyone else continually disappointed by PowerPoint development? There are so many flaws that are just ignored by MS.

One that's bothering me right now is that instead of allowing a user to create a hyperlink that isn't underlined, they just tell you to workaround by putting a box behind the text and making the box a hyperlink:

2007
http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/po...010242098.aspx
2010

http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/he...010338290.aspx
2013
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/po...102749704.aspx

There are many others! While the 2013 updates offer some worthwhile features, they do not look like three years work and certainly don't constitute a reason to hand over any more than a couple of [your preferred units of currency]! I can't get over how little has changed in three years. Do they just have one part-time developer working on PowerPoint?

Maybe your post makes you feel better but it achieves nothing. I'd be grateful (as a moderator here) if you just asked for (or gave) advice.

Oh right, okay. Thanks! What is it that you think makes them pay attention? Do you have any insight into the size and priorities of the development team? My guess is that since the Office suite is already the best available option in many aspects, they don't have much drive to compete.
