Is there a way to change the "Genesis" Theme Color from Blue to Green?
I have the whole project set up quite nicely in the "Genesis" Theme set of slides. And I've been told that my manager wants it Green. Is there any way just to change that color to green and keep the same layout? In other words.. (though I think you understand my question already) ... In Powerpoint for mac 2011 there is a Theme style called "Genesis" that has curvy color "shapes" that cover portions of the backgrounds of each slide. I like, and have used those colored areas as dividers of a sort from one bit of info to another, so I don't want to change the layout of any slide... Just the color of the shape from Blue to Green. Whatever I have tried seems to change the entire slide.. not just the portion that Genesis provides in Blue. Is there no way to change that color? Please advise.. I will really appreciate it. |

There are not too many Mac users here and I don't think Genesis is available on a pc. Can you post a slide ot two somewhere?

A picture doen't help much. It looks like you might be able to go to slide master view and change the colors there though.

sorry about that, can you use this ? http://we.tl/uMtTeho5VQ
I tried to change colors with the master slide but it appears to change highlights and things other than the major color I'm trying to change. |

Unfortunately all of the backgrounds are images. The only way would be to extract the images and recolour in eg Photoshop. Not simple to get right but I have very quicky changed the colour balance to show you it could be done. Don't expect perfect!

Best way would be to extract the background images and recolour then put them back.
I already extracted them so you can download them here. |

PPTX files are really zip files in disguise.
Some unzip programs can directly unzip pptx files others you need to change the pptx to zip. We recommend 7Zip which is free and very good http://www.7-zip.org/ (In house we have pro software to change the zip contents but you would need to spend a fair amount of money) Once unzipped you can see the folder structure and the images will be in the PPT\Media folder. You CAN change the images and rezip but I would just modify them and reset the backgrounds in your template (Right click a blank part of the layout > Format Background) |

Thanx again Mr. Wilson. Feel free to give the names of those pro software zip programs you were talking about. Especially if there are any Mac versions.

It's not a zip program. We use Visual Studio 2010 Pro with cutom AddIns to read and edit pptx files directly. 7zip does a pretty good job for free.
You are looking at US$750+ |
