Sound Issues

Using PPT 2003.

I am trying to embed a WAV file into PPT. It seems to be playing as the timer on the slide begins (audio file starts with slide). However, no sound. I have checked the WAV file outside of PPT it's okay.

I haven't moved the file around so no issues with linking vs. embedding. This was an MP3 that I converted to a real WAV, but that shouldn't matter via Adobe Soundbooth.

Thoughts???
