SmartArt Issue: Horizontal Hierarchy to connect across swimlanes
I have a Horizontal Hierarchy that maps a bunch of processes however there is crossover between swimlanes. How do I connect say 9 to 11 WITHIN the same swimlane OR how do i connect from number 5 to 13. How do I connect even like 1 to 7 or 2 to 8. Does that make sense? I cannot seem to find a way.

I see this post has 48 views and no answers, so I'll give it a shot. By "how do I connect" do you mean put a line between? (By the way, I'm a little lost with the term "swimlane." Is that literal or figurative?) Anyhow, if you want a line, what about just kluging it? [A kluge: a software or hardware configuration that, while inelegant, inefficient, clumsy, or patched together, succeeds in solving a specific problem or performing a particular task.] Just put matching lines where you want them? If definitely looks like SmartArt is not prepared for such creative shortcuts so you'll have to work around it. I know I've had to insert things into SmartArt objects to make them look right. If a line isn't what you're getting at, let me know. |
