animate long image sequences
Hi all,
I need to broadcast a movie. I know that's not currently supported, so I found a workaround. I broke the movie into N images, positioned them all one on top of the other, then created an animation in which each subsequent image Appears with a 0.02 delay after the previous image. This works well for small image sequences (~80), and it can be seen on an internet broadcast. The problem is for long image sequences (~400). I can set it up the same way, but when I come to that slide, powerpoint just freezes. The number of images is simply too much. I've tried using linked instead of embedded images, didn't work. I also tried splitting the "movie" across several slides, so one slide animated 80 images then automatically transitioned to the next slide after 80*0.02 = 1.6 seconds. That worked okay, but there was a noticeable delay (with stopped image) when it switched from slide to slide. Has anyone come across this problem? Do you have a solution? I'd be open to VBA if necessary. |
