Timing music with transitions and animations
I have a large presentation (over 200 slides) with a music file (mpg) that plays over the entire presentation. It's a fast moving presentation and I want the timing of the slide transitions and animations to match the beat of the music. I can get it working perfectly when viewed as a slide show, but when I copy it to another computer, the timing of the music and animations/transitions gets skewed slightly which ruins the effect.
I had the bright idea of saving the presentation to an mp4 or wmv file but again, even with perfect timing on the View Slideshow, the timing of the music and transitions/animations on the saved mp4 or wmv gets slightly off. I have optimized the mp3. I've been struggling with this for days. I need to show this presentation in the field on many different computers. Is there anyway I can build this thing that will ensure the timing of transitions/animations I get on my computer when viewing the slideshow will be consistent? Any help or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!!! |

The short answer is no. PowerPoint isn't really that good at syncing sound and transitions and animation. It will always depend a little on the speed of the PC. It can even vary slightly on the same PC.
