Default Graphical glitch in animated 3D Columnn chart

I am experiencing a strange graphical error in a bar graph and I was wondering if anyone knew a way to fix or circumvent the issue.
I am using Office 2010 and I have created a 3D Column type bar chart. I also added Wipe animation to each individual column to make it look like the columns are growing vertically until they reach their intended level. I have attached the problematic slide to this message.
The issue I am having is that when the rear columns start to "rise", they overlap with the front columns. When I remove the wipe animation, the columns look fine and do not overlap.

Any help on either fixing this or coming up with an alternative idea would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

In the animation pane try double clicking the chart animation. In chart animation UNTICK 'start by drawing chart background'

Does that make a difference.

Well, that partly works. The slide that you posted is great however what I want is to have the bars in the front stationary on this slide. They already "rose up" on a previous slide, so I do not want them animated on this slide. For example on my original slide that I attached, the front bars are not animated. If I use your slide, and the only change I make is that I delete the animation on the 2 front bars, the rear bar will continue to glitch.
Anything else that I do seems to work fine however when I use this method of keeping the front bars stationary and the back bars animated, they have this glitch.

A bit time consuming, but you could work with two charts as in attached pptx.
See Selection Pane:
- chart in the back on shows backgrounds, legend, ... and the animated bar for Time 2
- in chart on top everything is deleted or made invisible, except for the Time 1 bars, which are not animated

I see the problem too.

Try setting the first animations to with previous > appear.

Does that work for you?
