Default X/Y scatter chart with straight best fit line?

Hello,

I have tried everything I can think of to create an X/Y chart that shows a straight best fit line with no marker for each data series. If you look at the attached, the X axis is a logarithmic scale. Y axis is normal scale, is predicted compensation based on a linear regression (base salary and total compensation).

If you click on either data series (base or TCC), there doesn't seem to be a way to have a straight best fit line with no markers. I can add a trend line to either series, but that shows as a curved line, plus it gets added to the legend.

Any ideas? fmaduri@optonline.net

Thank you.
