I was working on creating some posters for my classroom and I was inserting the background. I inserted the background and then clicked "Tile picture as texture". I was changing the Scale X and Scale Y to 81%. Then I must have hit some other key combination because all of a sudden the slide duplicated it self 4 times within the same slide. I have inserted a pic of two slides. The left image is what the slide looked like and the right picture is what happened.

I'd love to know how I did it so I could replicate it!

Are the scale x and Y still showing 81%.??

Not sure how a keystroke would do this but setting both to 33 should work.
