Default Issues with Powerpoint Templates

Hi

Firstly, I am a novice user of powerpoint so sorry if this is a very basic problem.

I am trying to create a presentation template for a number of users to use. The template is supposed to include a master title and master slide.
I have created the template and I think that it looks ok. I have saved it into the location suggested by PowerPoint and when I now go back into PP I can see my new templates on the design template list.

BUT when i open a new presentation by going to file/new and then in the "new presentation window" on the right I choose "from design template" and then I choose my new template, I find the following issue:

the master title side contains the two standard boxes which always appear when creating a blank presentation. They kind of sit on top of my template. I can delete them but once done I cannot edit any text on my slide master template anymore....

Strangely though if I insert another page, the next page is fine and does not include any text boxes I don't want... if I go into the template by opening the pot file through going to file/open, the template is absolutely fine...

Can anyone help????

It's not at all clear what you are seeing can you post the template somewhere on line.

You can email it to me if you wish

Hi I seem to have solved my problem but now I have another question,....

Is it possible to save templates for charts in PowerPoint.

My boss wants for the whole team to be using the same fonts/colours etc for charts in PowerPoint. Originally i thought I just create like a catalogue of all the graphs we use in a single presentation and the guys can then just copy and paste them into their own presentations and obviously change the data but now I am wondering whether I could just set up another template....
