Default Bullet spacing

If I make a new text box, type some text, and add a bullet, the bullet is VERY close to the text. If I use the default text box on a new slide (which already has bullets), there is about a 'tab' width between the bullets and the text. Is this a special type of text box? Or how do I change the spacing between the bullet and the text?

Thanks,

Dave

I found it - you have to click in the text box and then use the "tab" sliders at the top of the screen to adjust the distance from the bullet to the text. Seems silly that it does this odd behavior...
