Custom fades lost on closing presentation
Hi,
I make a custom fade of 5 seconds. I save the presentation. Close it. Re-open and the fade is back to a standard time setting! Driving me crazy. Anyone know what I'm missing? Thanks Emma |

I'm confused because 5 secconds IS a standard time setting (very slow)
Maybe go through what you did step by step. |

I do this...
I select the slide, go to transitions, > fade> duration> 5 seconds and save.
It works fine until I close the presentation and then reopen it ... the transition then defaults back to the standard quick fade! I want some very slow reveals and the only way seems to set it up every time I open it. I'm stumped. |

Ahh I thought you were talkng about Animation.
Could you be saving in the old ppt or pps formats. If so they do not support custom transition times. Other than that I don't kinow. doesn't happen here if I save as pptx. |

Thank you
I will take a look at the versions being used.
I am a Premiere and After Effects person and find Powerpoint complicated ... or maybe I'm too lazy to get to grips with it. Thanks a lot for your time though, I think you have pointed out the problem Emma |
