video loop lag in power point 2013
Just upgraded to ppt 2013 from office 2007 professional. In my 2007 ppt the .avi or .mpeg files played seamlessly when I checked on loop continuously option. Now with ppt 2013 the video does loop from last frame to the first frame but there is a lag of 2 seconds (it appears) and therefore it is not seamless. Any option for me to show movies seamlessly in 2013. Thanks.

I haven't played with this so stab in the near dark!
2007 only links to video while 2010 / 13 embed them by default which if the file is large may cause the lag. Maybe you could try intentionally linking the video. I don't have 2013 handy but in 2010 there's a LINK option in the drop menu of the Insert button. |

Thank you JohnWilson for the reply. I looked at 2013 and I could not find link option under the insert tab. My intention to upgrade to 2013 was primarily to get away from linking the videos and have them embedded so that I don't have to relink when I move my presentation from one folder to another or to another computer. But now I am facing this loop lag which is very frustrating. Being a cardiologist I want beating heart images in the avi or mpeg format which keeps looping while I talk to the audience but the loop lag breaks the continuity of the beating heart phases. Is there any other solution to this issue?
