Default SmartArt - Add shape below - across

I am building a project organisation using Power Point. I would like to present this using a vertical approach with project manager on top and the various resources under. I also must have the option to add assistants.
The frustration starts when I am adding several resources and these are placed in vertical even though they are at the same level. It is in theory fine to place them vertical, however this is very space consuming. Is it possible to have these shapes placed across? I have found this option in other types of organisation charts, however then the assistant option is disabled.

Please look at the attachment. This is what I am trying to avoid. I would like the resources to be placed across instead.

Thanks.
