Adding Slide Numbers to powerpoint 2010
Hi, I have a client that is an expert at using powerpoint 2003. She just upgraded to powerpoint 2010, and wanted to know a simple way to add the number to the slides. For example, for slide one, she wants slide 1 to display "Slide 1 of 10" and so forth for the remaining pages. She wants "slide 1 of 10" to show in the actual slide. I showed her an article on how to do it, but she felt that it involved too many steps. Does anyone know an easy way to set this up?

There.s no simple way to do this.
The of xx will not update automatically whatever you do. The best solution is to go to the slide master and delete all of the slide number placeholdes then add a normal textbox to the large master. Type "Slide " then INSERT SlideNumber Then type " of 10" . You will still need to change the total yourself though. Numbering and Footer suck in 2007 / 2010! |
