![]() OK, I'm new to this, but I'm teachable. What I want is to add a simple button to my PPT presentation so that a user can print the current page to his/her default printer. I can't believe that none of the dozens of tutorials I've read have provided a solution that works. Who can help? |

It needs a little code (not hard)
http://www.pptalchemy.co.uk/Current_Slide_Print.html Also explains why many "solutions" don't work! You might also want to read How to use code here: |

Thanks, John. It turned out that, somehow, Macros were turned OFF for this project, so nothing was working. My brother figured it out and now the code I had originally entered is working fine!

OK, now I've got ANOTHER problem! My PRINT button works fine on my computer, but when I copy the presentation to a different computer that's only running the PPT Viewer, it will not print.
What's up with that??? |

The free viewer does not support any code at all.

I see that I can right-click on a page and get an option to print. The only problem is, the user has to know to select "Current Page" or "Selection Only" in order to avoid printing the entire presentation. Any suggestions for how to work around this problem?
Thanks for all your help, so far! |

That is the only way if they use the viewer which of course has limited function.

OK, well, most people will be using it on their laptops, anyway, so no printer would even be available. The rest will have full versions of Power Point. This is good to know for the future, though. Thanks for all your help! |
