Default Copy from PowerPoint to Photoshop - Lost Resolution

Hello - I use PowerPoint 2010 a lot in my business, http://www.tjsbm.com/. The problem is when I copy a picture from PowerPoint into Photoshop to edit it I loose resolution. I know it has something to do with the image scaling, cropping and rotation I did in PowerPoint before the copy and paste. I was wondering if there was an easy way to edit the image in PowerPoint, replace some pixels with different ones, or copy the image in the original resolution and then paste it into a new document in Photoshop to edit.
