Loss of sound,.wav files still present
Is it possible that by editing a presentation, then saving it under a new file name, (ex:...rev 2), that it would cause a disconnect of the link between the .wav files and the presentation?
I have the original presentation (and the revised one), and the .wav files in an isolated stand alone folder. The slides have the speaker icon in the lower right corner, but there is no sound when I play the Slide Show. Thanks for any feedback. Gary |

Saving with a new name shouldn't change the link.
You can check the link address by selecting the speaker icon > Sound Tools > Sound Option drop arrow > Infomation Last edited by JohnWilson; 04-18-2013 at 09:40 AM. |

That link was for an older version.
I finally figured it out for 2007. It was fairly easy. Click on the Office Button (top left corner, the round symbol...Orb>>) Down at the bottom, left most button, is PowerPoint Options Once that is open, click on Advanced Scroll to the bottom, and look for the Box called SAVE Save Link Sound... is set by default at 100kb Change that to 50000 kb, and click OK at the bottom, done, Thanks |

Old link but there is a note about 2007 I think.
