Two questions - pdf and pictures

Hey!
I have two questions, or problems that I need to get solved, if it's possible that is. At my work we have a powerpoint for every day of a months that is shown on different screens around the place. We want two different thing, is this possible?

1. At one of the slides, we want PowerPoint to show random pictures. For example, if we have a map with 1000 pictures, when PowerPoint gets to that one slide we want it to pick one of those pictures and show it.

2. Each morning our dispatch sends out a pdf-file with the previous day (24 hour period) incidents, and information regarding weather, traffic etc. Is it possible to insert this pdf-file automatically into a ppt, so it will be shown automatically that day?
