Embedded Links Change Paths in Japanese Windows
I distribute several *ppsx files with my program, installed by InstallShield. The ppsx files have hyperlinks to *.avi files that have the absolute file path:
C:\DataSets\Vision Videos\Training ...\*.avi. When I test my installer, here in the office, the links are properly preserved for both XP and 64-bit Windows 7 installations and all is well. However, my Japanese agent reports that the links fail under his installations. He shows the links recoded to C:\Documents and Settings\xxx\Local Settings\temp\*.avi. I need to preserve the absolute file paths within the hyperlinks for all installations. Can anyone offer any explanations and/or fixes? Thanks in advance. AWO |

Problem Identified
My Japanese agent has done further testing. Installations on newer host computers appear to work properly. He believes that the problem related to installing on a host computer with Office 2000 installed.
This should close this issue. AWO |
