Powerpoint Music Help

I am currently making a PP presentation for a 40th birthday party and I am incorperating pictures and short videos. I want music to play when the photos are displaying and to stop when the videos are playing and then pick back up from where the music was stopped before the movie has started. Does PP 2007 allow this? If so, how?
