How to run PPTVIEWER in kiosk Mode
I developed a PPTX presentation on two home computers. They run in kiosk mode just fine. Now I want to transfer the presention to off-site kiosks. I've install the presentation on the offsite computers and installed PPTVIEW.exe downloaded from Microsoft site.
When I execute the PPTVIEWR to run the presention, it starts but the presentation no longer runs in kiosk mode. If I click or touch any part of the screen, the slide advances (not what I want to happen). Any thought on why it won't run on the offsite computer> Windows 7, 64 bit. Office is not installed, just the Viewer. |

Are you using the 2010 viewer? It works here in Kiosk as expected (i don't have a touch screen but clicks and mousewheel or keyboard have no effect)

I went to the MS download site to get the Viewer. I am assuming that is the latest version.

Not necessarily. Microsoft still offer older 2007 version.
Find PPTVIEW.EXE and right click >> Properties > Details. What is the Version number? |
