hyperlink to a previous slide wont run animation

hi, i created a presentation and animated the slides to explain a process.

at the last slide, i added hyperlins to specific points of the presentation.

when i run the presentation, i see the animations happen, when the last slide comes out and i select a button, it shows the slide, but wont run the animation or videos embedded.

is there any setting to reset the animations after they have been viewed?

This is by design(not Good design though)

To get around it insert a blank slide BEFORE the slide with animations, give THIS slide a zero second auto transition and make the link to this slide NOT the animated slide./

thank you, i found also another work around by creating custom shows and linking to them.
