Default Linking to remotely stored PDF opens behind

Hi all,

I have been working on an animated flow chart in PowerPoint for my office. I have been asked to have a few areas with hyperlinks to PDF's stored on our company's intranet.

I have been able to click the link on my computer (in slideshow mode), enter the password when prompted, and the PDF opens on top of PowerPoint.

When I try to do the same thing from my co-worker's computer, the prompt and Internet Explorer both open minimized and behind PowerPoint.

Is there a setting that I need to remind anyone who plans on using this to click or something?

Thank you.
