Default problem printing slide notes

Win 7 Ultimate x64
MS Office 2007

I’ve created a presentation with notes:

when I look at it on-screen in Normal view the notes look fine but in a print preview some of the notes appear in very tiny font, so small that it's unreadable. The slides part of the notes pages preview are fine & as I'd designed them.

I cut & pasted the notes into notepad (to strip out most formatting), saved & closed the presentation, re-opened it & copied & pasted the notes from notepad back into the relevant places in PowerPoint, but when I previewed them again - the same problem.

In case it was on-screen only, I printed them out anyway but it was the same in print.

Does anyone know why this is happening & how I can stop it happening?

TIA
