2nd Monitor PP Slideshow Keeps Freezing
We got a second monitor at our shop to run a slideshow of merchandise off site, but it keeps freezing whenever it's not the active window. As soon as I minimize it or click on another window it freezes. I've never used PP before, so am really at a loss whether this is something I can fix in PP or is something more complex.
(I took it to the computer store yesterday but the tech had no idea how to fix it. They sold me a dual monitor video card to see if that would help - right now the 2nd monitor is running off a usb-vga adapter - but the computer is a tiny slim line and despite their assurances the video card will not fit in.) So I'm still sitting here with a slide show that freezes every time I use my pc. |

Sadly I think that's normal behaviour. If the show loses focus it stops.
There are third party solutions like PowerShow from OfficeOne but they are not free. |

Thank you! I installed a trial version of PowerShow and it solved the problem.
Kinda. I followed the directions for starting the slide show on the second monitor, but it's still starting it on my primary. I'm able to shift it over to the second monitor using ctr+win+x, but then the resolution is all manner of messed up. At least I can use my primary monitor now, but I cannot seem to get to image size / aspect ratio correct on the second monitor (even when all the settings are correct...) But thanks all the same. I'm sure I'll get there soon. |

I don't actually use PowerShow but I know Chirag at officeOne is pretty good at answering querys. I guess there's a contact on their site.
There's an alternative here but I have never used it and know nothing about the comnpany. |
