novice ppt user ... i want to make three slides, each with a different shape (circle). When the show is run, I want each new slide view to have retained the shape(s) accumulated from previous slides (they willl overlap by design). how to do this?

Either you could duplicate each slide and add the new shape to the existing shapes, or better, add all of the shapes to a single slide, and use custom animation to reveal each shape in succession.
