Printing into a pre printed form
Not sure that this can be done -hope I am explaining what I want to do clearly.
Have a copy of a pre-numbered, quadrupled,( identical, but different colored attached copies) , call this copy A-it is the one that I want to print my info on and create the official record.. Currently what we have to do is type information into a saved Microsoft Word 2002 document(copy B) and then go and attempt to print that created document(copy B) onto the pre-printed numbered form that we are given(copy A). We have no control over what tracking numbers are on the form(copy A). What we do now is tear the copies of copy A apart and put them through the printer one at a time, thus printing copy B unto the official copy A. We usually have a problem with the finished copies; the information that we typed into the Word document(copy B) doesn't quite line up with the lines and headings in the pre-printed numbered form(copy A) Any idea how we can handle this would be appreciated. If it helps the printers I have available are HP LaserJet 6P, HP DeskJet 5100, and a Ricoh Africio MP 2550 PCL 6. Also, must stress love working with computers but have a real struggle understanding how somethings are to be done. Any thing you can do to simplify your suggested solution would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. |
