PowerPoint 2010 Pie Chart Animation Query
I have spent many years using MS Office applications, but recently became puzzled with pp 2010. When helping someone to create a slide show.
I needed to insert a pie chart from another file into a slide and animate it. I found I could insert the pie chart from the excel sheet and assign a fly-in animation. However, when I wanted to create more effects, such as getting segments to appear one by one, the Effects Options window did not display the Chart Animation tab. I also did not have the option to ungroup the chart elements, this option was greyed out. Has anyone else encountered such a problem, and if so how were you able to overcome this problem. Administrative staff who are asked to compile pp presentations are more likely need to import objects and animate them, rather than create them from scratch. Thanks to anyone contributing their time to answer this query. |

How are you inserting?
If I just copy paste the chart I see the chart animation tab. |

Thanks for responding. pie chart is being added to slide by insert tab, object icon on ribbon, file is linked to presentation. Ah did think about copy and paste will try.
