Default Standalone Presentation with Audio - How?

Hi and thanks in advance if you can help!

I have created a memorial slide show to be played back at a "life celebration". Nothing too fancy, simple transitions, etc. I have two music files that I have inserted (her favourite songs) and set to play over slides, etc. Playback is fine from within PowerPoint.

To what format must I save this in order to be able to play as a standalone - ie, on a computer that does not have PowerPoint. I need transitions and audio to remain...I have tried to run it on my PC, but it has PowerPoint, so the program opens and it plays from within. I need to test to see how it looks without PowerPoint.

I tried creating a .mov file, but the degradation in quality is unacceptable...

Please help! The service is this Thursday! eek!
