Default Odd Video Quality problem

Several months ago I made a PPT (w/MS 2007) and we had to downloaded two videos, edit them, and insert them the slides. The quality of the vidoes during the actual presentation was great! Basically, if the original source video was great, then the PPT version was great...if not, then the PPT version was the same.

Now I am doing the same thing again, execpt now all of the videos slides look crappy...I mean really pixelated. No matter how great the originals looked the PPT version looks worse.

Can that be fixed?
