Default PPT 2010 on a PC: exporting high res jpgs

I can easily change the resolution output on my mac when I am saving a ppt as jpgs on my mac.

How do I do that on my coworker's pc? There doesn't seem to be an option for that in the save menu.

Not easy on a PC!

You need to hack the registry

I had my IT dept follow these instructions, but when my coworker saved as jpgs, it still looks like they're coming out 96dpi. Is there something to be adjusted in the "save as" menu after you hack the registry?

No, that should be it.

Did you check the pixel size? PowerPoint does a bad job with text even at high resolution.

I get a 3070 x 2302 image

Is this what you need?
R-CLick a picture from the Slide Show
Go to Picture Tools at the top of the Ribbon
Find and click on Compress Picture / Options / Select Target Output.
(Do not click the box "Apply to selected pictures only)
See if 96 ppi is checked, if so, select either 150 ppi, or 200 ppi.

Gary

That doesn't change the export resolution Gary.

Sadly, I am not having any luck with this. My IT dept says they have hacked the registry, but we are still getting 96dpi jpgs. Something is obviously not right, but I'm not sure what to do at this point.

I can only tell you it works (and it's the only way AFAIK)

Are you sure the IT folk got it right? Yeah, I know, IT folk are always right but ....

I take it you are not able to check the key yourself? Make sure they used the key for 14 if you have 2010 and had PowerPoint closed when they added the key.
