Default Excess slides in powerpoint

Hello,
Newbie with a question regarding powerpoint.
I did have a read but could not find my answer so now asking here.
I have created an album and added 53 slides with frames etc no problem.
I now need to add some more slides to the existing album,so this is what i have done.
Open up the album.
Click photo album,edit photo album.

Click on file/disk.
Browse to the required photo to be added.
Then i clicked on update.
This added the xtra photo to the album & correct frame etc no problem at all.
Here is my problem and not sure how to stop it in the future.
When i look at the slide show expecting to now see 54 slides of which i have no problem i also have for some reason slide 55 through to 106 just a background ?
Why has these extra blank slides been added to my album.
Thinking i did something wrong i tried it again and the same thing happened.
Please can you explain.

Thanks

It would help us analyse the problem if you could attach your PPT file. Remember to remove any sensitive or confidential data first. To attach a file to your post click on the <Go Advanced> button.

There should be a GO ADVANCED button when you post here and then you get the option to add an attachment However if you have 53 slides you are probably over the upload limit. An alternative might be to use Jing (Free) to record exactly what you are doing and upload it.
