Default Custom Colors Palette

Hi, I'm new to PowerPoint and only have an older versions (2003 & 2004 for Mac). I'm building a template for a client and they've asked that their palette of 50 or so colors be available in the Formatting Palette.

When I click, for instance, Fill / Color I see different options. The first row of eight color swatches reflects the colors chosen for that slides particular scheme. That could be helpful except that I don't necessarily want the colors available there to be applied to specific things like background, text, shadows, etc.

When I select More Fill Colors I get a new window with a few options for picking colors. There is a grid at the bottom which allows me to build a custom palette. But that palette is not part of the template I'm building, its part of my application, ie - when I send this template to the client, those colors are no longer there in that grid.

What can I do to get a custom palette built so that my client can easily choose pre-defined colors when they're building out their documents?

Thanks very much!
