I am trying to use a very simple animated text, “click” for entry. The animation is working, but I can see the text (black) on my slide. When I “click” it changes to my font color. Hiding text to control entry is not very effective if you can actually see it on the screen the whole time. I have used this for years in earlier versions. Any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong in 2010 that is different?
I am using ppt 2010 V14.0.4760.1000 (32 bit) |

I'm guessing you have applied a shadow??
There are two types of shadow Shadows on the Shape and shadows on the Text. If the shape has no fill or line they look similar BUT a shape shadow will not always animate with the text. If that's it go to shape effects > No shadow and then use Text effects to add a shadow. |

Thanks - this was it. Now I just have to find all of the new settings in 2010.
