Default Hangman with Powerpoint

I'm wanting to create a hangman game within powerpoint, preferably with animated (dissolving) shapes rather than transitioning slides.

The flow of the game will be the standard way: someone will choose a letter (there will be all 26 letters on the side of the slide), the operator of the presentation clicks that letter and as a result, a number of things happen:

The letter faded out (dissolve animation on the shape with the letter on it); if the letter is not a part of the answer, a part of the hangman image appears and if the letter is a part of the answer, that letter appears in the answer section as many times as is necessary.

The crux of all this working out the way I want it to is that one click is able to create more than one animation (letter dissolves, hangman/answer letter appears). Is this possible? I've had a play around and I haven't been able to see how to make it work. I haven't played around with macros as I wouldn't know where to start.

The other important thing is that the first incorrect letter chosen (regardless of which letter it is) puts up the first section of the hangman image. The way I was going to do that is have a complete image of the hangman on the bottom layer and then each section taken away as a new image overlayed ontop, so as each image is dissolved, it appears as though parts are being added when in fact it is just the image underneath coming to the top. This of course means the first incorrect letter being selected causes the first image to dissolve regardless of what that letter is. Is this possible? No idea yet how to get the letters to appear in the answer, but if I can't get the above working, I'll need to approach it from a different angle.

I have though about each action being driven by separate clicks (one click to dissolve the letter, one to add an answer letter or start the hangman image but I want to have a one click process if at all possible.

Any help would be much appreciated!
